In an interview with VG247, Remedy’s Thomas Puha confirmed that the team was working on Alan Wake 2 years ago, however this project simply did not pan out. Remedy and Polygon have shared a gameplay video from a prototype version of Alan Wake 2. As Remedy’s Sam Lake said, this video is the most polished piece of gameplay the studio has for Alan Wake 2, and it’s the one the company used to pitch the game. Remedy pitched this video to a lot of publishers before working on Quantum Break. And while the team claimed that Alan Wake 2 is not dead, we can safely say that it’s not a priority.
