Hideo Kojima today teased a new collection pack for Metal Gear. Although Kojima did not reveal what games will be included in this collection or the platforms for which it will released, he did say that more about this collection will be revealed at this year’s Tokyo Game Show (September 18th). Kojima Productions’ boss Hideo Kojima announced – at this afternoon’s Metal Gear 25th anniversary event at Tokyo Midtown – that Metal Gear Solid will be coming to the big screen. Avi Arad, the man behind a lot of Marvel hero movies such as Iron Man, Blade, Spider-Man 2002, and The Amazing Spider-Man, will produce this Metal Gear movie and both Sony and Columbia Pictures will back this project up. Who can forget the fabulous Metal Gear May Cry OCRemix that was made by Jared Hudson? After announcing the Fox Engine back in June last year, Kojima Productions have been hard at work creating their new, unannounced game. The company revealed a teaser back in December but since then, we haven’t heard anything from them. Fast forward some months and here we are today with an interesting concept art that was revealed at the company’s website. Okay, before you jump to early conclusions, let us tell you that Metal Gear Solid: Escape From New York is a machinima movie and not an actual game. This movie will be released this October and the team behind it decided to release a teaser trailer. The movie will take place right after the ending of MGS 2, as Solid Snake tries to escape New York itself while being hunted by rogue soldiers. Given the fact that this machinima has a lot of potential, we wanted to share it with you so here it is. Enjoy everyone and yeah, we’d kill for an open-world MGS game.
