I expected this. Luckily I don’t mind waiting for a crack and mods. Fools can waste their money, but I won’t.

Thing is, all of these rehashes and remakes may be pretty to look at (now) but have neither the atmosphere nor the charm of the originals.
When people talk about RE4, they talk about how terrifying the regenerators were when they first encountered them, how ridiculous but at the same time who fun Leon’s one-liners were, the reload animations of the various guns in the game etc.
These games are popular now, but they probably don’t have the impact and staying power of the originals. I predict that as soon C(r)apcom is out of games to remake, people will move on and champion the next popular thing.
