Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 delayed again, not releasing in 2021

Paradox Interactive has announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been once again delayed. Not only that, but Hardsuit Labs will be no longer working on it, and there is currently no ETA on when it will come out.

As the publisher stated:

“We have made the hard decision that Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of Bloodlines 2. This also means that we will not be releasing in 2021 as previously planned. Since we cannot at this time communicate a new release date, we’ve also decided to stop accepting pre-orders for the time being.

This game is very important to us and it has been an ambitious project from the very start. In order to meet our goals for it, we’ve come to the conclusion that a change is needed and, as a result, more development time is required.”

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been in development hell for a while. Its first delay came in October 2019. Then, in August 2020, Paradox announced a new delay and release date.

It’s also worth noting that in December 2020, Paradox’s CEO hinted at another delay.

It will be interesting to see which studio will resume development. It will also be interesting to see whether the new game will be anything similar to the game that Hardsuit Labs has been working on. In other words, will we have another “Prey” situation?

Stay tuned for more!
