Mortal Kombat Doom – New Footage Released, Global Version To Include MK1, MK2 & UMK3

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

Cristian Fabian Munoz Isla has released a new video from his upcoming Doom mod that aims to bring NetherRealm’s classic MK games on id Software’s FPS. This new video shows off UMK3 that was recently added to this mod. According to Cristian, the global version of this mod will include Mortal Kombat 1, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. From what we’ve seen so far, MK1 feels great, whereas MK2 and UMK3 have some latency and hit detection issues. We don’t know if Cristian can fix them, but they do sometimes break the overall experience. Still, MK1 looks good so that’s a good thing at least. Enjoy! Happy Times – Mortal Kombat Turns 20 Years Old

Man, it’s been 20 years since the release of the first Mortal Kombat game. Some hated it, others loved it. Personally, I loved all 2D versions of this legendary series and I still remember visiting the arcades to play Mortal Kombat 2. Or how about the cencored SNES version of MK1 that was – kind of – awful? Or the way the media advertised it, stating that this game would turn us into psychopaths? Ah, the memories. But anyway. Happy birthday Mortal Kombat and in order to celebrate it, we’ve included all the fatalities from MK1, 2, and Ultimate 3, as well as a retrospective that is courtesy of GameSpot. Enjoy!
