Here is some new gameplay footage from the fan remake of STALKER in Unreal Engine 4

Ivan Sorce has released a new gameplay video for his upcoming fan remake of the first STALKER game in Unreal Engine 4. This video showcases the latest build of this fan remake. However, do note that this STALKER in Unreal Engine 4 project is still in an early stage.

This STALKER remake in UE4 will have similar assets to the original version. From the looks of it, Sorce is planning on offering an authentic remake/remaster of the game in Epic’s engine. Whether this fan remake will support any modern-day techniques, like Ray Tracing, remains to be seen.

We first reported on this fan remake in May 2019. Now the good news here is that Sorce has not received any C&D letter. We don’t know whether GSC GameWorld is aware of it. Thus, let’s hope that Sorce will be able to, at least, release a demo before this remake gets enough exposure.

There is currently no ETA on when the final or a demo version of this STALKER Remake in Unreal Engine 4 will come out.

Before closing, I’d also like to share with you two more Unreal Engine 4 videos. The first one shows a map inspired by the first Halo game in Epic’s engine. Surprisingly enough, this map is available for download.

Lastly, Cannway has created a Star Wars scene in Unreal Engine 4. This scenes is inspired by the third Star Wars movie. Unfortunately, and contrary to the Halo map, this level is not available for download.
