The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update

The Witcher 3 Next-Gen PC Performance Hotfix available for download

CD Projekt RED has just released a new PC Hotfix for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen. According to the team, this Hotfix primarily addresses the performance issues that appeared after Patch 4.01. Other than that, this Hotfix does not bring any additional improvements of tweaks.

As always, GOG Galaxy and Steam will download this latest PC Hotfix the next time you launch their clients.

As we’ve already reported, CDPR is currently looking into improving CPU core utilization and overall DX12 performance for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen. The company is also looking into addressing some Ray Tracing issues. For example, CDPR is working on reducing global illumination lighting leaks. Additionally, the team is also investigating the RT shadows pop-in issues that we’ve reported. Not only that, but CDPR also plans to restore horizon-based ambient occlusion on PC.
