New STALKER 2 screenshots released, showcasing Unreal Engine 5’s capabilities

In an interview with WIRED, GSC GameWorld released two brand new screenshots for the Unreal Engine 5-powered shooter, STALKER 2. These new screenshots look great, and showcase what the devs have achieved with Unreal Engine 5.

STALKER 2 aims to feature an epic, non-linear story. Furthermore, your choices will influence both short-term consequences and global outcomes. The game will take place inside the Chernobyl exclusion zone, and it will have new locations along with the old ones.

GSC GameWorld has confirmed that it will be using motion-capture for both bodies and faces, as well as photogrammetry. Additionally, the game will support mods on launch day, and will support Ray Tracing effects.

STALKER 2 was targeting a 2022 release date. However, in June 2022, GSC GameWorld delayed the game until 2023.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
