The game for sure needs a high end cpu even with the RT off. 13600k bottlenecks 3080 in many parts of the game. All the stuttering comes when the few cores the game uses are at 100%.

Got to get something faster than a 9900k or only test med/low range gpu’s, your leaving way too much performance on the floor. 13gen intel or 7000 series amd should be bare minimum for testing top tier gpu’s. Or maybe 5800x3d or 12900k but it seems amd’s new gpu’s are not as affected buy cpu bottlenecks as bad as nvidia’s ada lovelace in this game. But there is some optimization problems with this game gpu utilization will drop to 60% sometimes when I play at 4k Ultra with a 4090 no ray tracing or dlss. 9900k not a bad cpu its just not up to par to test the 4090 hell im not sure if any cpu is, im waiting on the 7950x3d for my next upgrade. I had a 5950x but picked up a 5800x3d when it got cheap and almost bought a 13900k but waiting for new 3dvcache cpu’s.

In reply to DaMac. Man, volumetrics has been like THE setting to turn down for max performance gains with the least visual impact in practically all games released in the past decade or so. Very few developers have managed to optimize this setting.

In reply to damastaGR. Thanks for all the suggestions, I followed them all and also set textures on low. Now the game is somewhat payable but I still cannot call it smooth. Btw is is just me or it smooths out as you play it?
